If the developers have no plans for further balance changes or new runewords for Patch 2.5, I would like to propose to the developers to consider adding a few new Horadric Cube Recipes that would open up itemization by allowing the player to add sockets as follows… Add 1 Socket to Unique/Set Item Add 1-2 Sockets to Rare/Crafted Item Add 1-3 Sockets to Magic/Superior Item Horadric Cube
Shivan-11800. I posted earlier about imbue not working and later got next one to work on another HC toon. So it must be lag or some such temp thing. These are the cube socket recipe’s Body Armor: Tal Rune + Thul Rune + Perfect Topaz + Normal Armor. Helm: Ral Rune + Thul Rune + Perfect Sapphire + Normal Helm. Shield: Tal Rune + Amn Rune
To get the Diablo 2 Resurrected 4 Socket Shield and make a Spirit Shield as a paladin is a bit less of a nightmare. You can even get it on Normal difficulty from about the start of Act V, at which point a four-socket D2R shield can start dropping for you. I’ve tried to add sockets to a weapon and a shield now and neither recipe have worked, I have photos of the cube with the items incase you presume I’m an idiot who hasn’t been playing the game for 20 years. Tal + Amn + P Ruby + Sup Rondarche (it’s white named) and nothing happens.

Go to your Diablo 2 program folder and paste there the 'data' folder. In your Diablo 2 shortcut in the desktop, change the properties by adding this option: -direct -txt. Click OK. Now, whenever you run Diablo II via your desktop shortcut, it will run the mod enhancement, and the Horadric Cube will be larger.
