Attemptingmy first 36 hour fast today, encouragement appreciated! I've been doing IF for a little over a year now and the longest fasts I've done have been 24 hours. Typical days for me are 19-22 hour fasts, and as I approach my menstrual cycle I'm more lenient and do shorter fasts depending how I feel. I've lost ~15-18 pounds and have a goal

MikeStrong. 208321. Going through a 36-hour fast – or missing out on an entire day’s worth of calories by abstaining from eating for one and a half days -may sound extreme
Yes No. Maybe. It depends. Unless you have a pre-existing medical condition it is not necessary for such a short fast. That said, there is no downside to it and it potentially reduces any cramps/headches/fatigue you may experience. It comes down to whether you chose to be preventive or reactive . ThisUniqueUsername1.
I tried 24-hour fasts initially but found they don’t do much because I could easily eat a day’s worth of calories in one meal.) It always worked to break the plateau even though I regained a bit once I started eating the next day. Is I fast once a week (36 hours) to maintain and for the health benefits.
Gettingmarried in 6 weeks and decided to shoot for my first 36 hour fast starting last night to switch things up a bit! Have been on omad for the last month or so with great results and very few struggles. Really hoping I can keep this self control and motivation going once my weekend starts after work tonight 🤞🏼
